Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR 700x28 Tubeless Tires - 2 Pack

The German manufacturer Continental has recently launched an improved version of their popular road bike tire, the Continental Grand Prix 5000. The new tubeless-ready (TR) version, known as the 5000 S TR, has been enhanced in all areas to provide even better performance.

Although the 5000 S TR may look similar to its predecessor at first glance, it features a completely redesigned structure under the tread. Unlike the previous version, this new tire has only 2 layers of fabric instead of 3, allowing for better ground adaptation and a 20% reduction in rolling resistance. The Vectran Breaker puncture protection layer and the Black Chili tread from the previous model ensure that puncture protection remains top-notch despite the fewer layers.

The sidewalls of the 5000 S TR have been improved as well, with 3 layers and an added protective layer increasing puncture protection by 28%. This upgrade also provides greater stability at lower air pressures. The new tube construction, which eliminates the need for a sealing rubber layer, makes the tire 50 grams lighter than before.
